Children Residential Deputy Manager
Annual Salary: £35,000
Location: Wallasey/Oxton
Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Deputy Manager for a children and young people’s residential home. This role is ideal for a dedicated individual with a passion for leadership and a background in children’s residential care. The successful candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in children’s residential care, experience in leading teams, and a commitment to providing exceptional care to young residents.
Day-to-day of the role: Oversee the daily operations of the residential home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for children and young people.
Lead and manage staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a cohesive and effective team.
Be part of the on-call rota and be willing to work occasional weekends to support the needs of the home and its residents.
Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the care team, ensuring they meet the individual needs of the residents.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
Act as a role model, promoting a positive and nurturing environment for both staff and residents.
Work closely with the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home and to deputise in their absence.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in children’s residential care.
Minimum of one year’s experience in a leadership role within a children’s residential setting.
Two years’ experience working in children’s residential care.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
A compassionate and caring approach to supporting vulnerable young people.
Ability to work flexibly, including on-call and occasional weekend duties.
