ALS Laboratories are looking for a Business Development Manager to support the growth of their pharmaceutical business with new clients in line with company growth targets, specifically for Extractables and Leachables Analysis in Ely. About the Position
Hours Per Week: 40
Days Per Week: Monday - Friday (08:00 – 17:30)
Contract: Permanent and Full Time
Key Responsibilities
Secure new E&L business by proactively targeting key competitors.
Provide leadership & direction in the development of new testing opportunities.
Continually manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle using CRM
Being an active promotor for a culture which embraces the ALS Core Values
Work with internal colleagues across the business (Technical, Quality, Laboratory, Accounts) to ensure that we fulfil our commitment to deliver excellent client service.
Oversee client communications throughout the design and management of extractables and leachables studies for inhalation and injectable products, risk assessments, test strategies and regulatory authoring as appropriate.
About you
Must be educated to degree level in a relevant Life Sciences subject or comparable industry experience
Ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization, analytical and numerical skills
Enthusiastic & friendly disposition - ability to persuade and influence others
Computer literate with good grasp of Microsoft Office & Outlook packages
Attention to detail. Ability to prioritize varied workloads under pressure
Commercial awareness
5 years’ proven sales experience ideally within a Scientific Field
Previous Contract Laboratory, Analytical Services, Contract Manufacturing or GMP experience
Knowledge and technical understanding of pharmaceutical product testing (R&D and QC)
