Our client operates several nursery settings in and around Leeds. They're seeking an enthusiastic nursery assistant with prior experience and a strong desire to develop their skills. With well-equipped rooms catering to children aged 3 months to 5 years, you'll have access to a range of resources and activities to support the children in your care.

Responsibilities will include:
Designing age-appropriate activities to nurture the specific development of designated children
Creating and maintaining strong relationships with parents and caregivers while undertaking key children responsibilities
Conducting observations during EYFS curriculum-based activities to monitor progress and accomplishments
Assisting with children's hygiene routines and mealtimes
Contributing to a secure and enjoyable environment, with a focus on health and safety at all times
Safeguarding children and promptly reporting welfare concerns to management
Recording daily diary entries for children and conducting end-of-day handover procedures with parents
Supporting the training and professional growth of other staff members in the room
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one through Randstad
Prior experience working with children aged 0-5 is essential
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
Excellent communication skills
Strong work ethic and professional demeanour
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum
Dedication to children's development with an energetic, positive attitude
