Staff Platform Engineer
You will join a growing team headed by an incredible Director of DevOps who provides autonomy, support, and also direction. You will thrive in this bar-raising environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and management of the software release process and tooling
Develop and maintain automation pipelines for software deployment, ensuring rapid and reliable releases.
Create comprehensive release documentation, guidelines, and best practices to guide development and operations teams.
Monitor release performance and identify bottlenecks in the deployment process.
Collaborate with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between release activities and business goals.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers on release management best practices and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience as a platform engineer ideally with a focus on build and release management.
Experience in designing and building automation pipelines for software deployment.
Strong knowledge of software release methodologies, GitOps, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible).
Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
