To support our stakeholder engagement, we seek to add a health and safety professional, ideally with a background in energy, who is highly motivated to join our team as our Health and Safety Programme Delivery Manager.
Reporting to the Lead Programme Delivery Manager, your role will be responsible for delivering the company’s industry leading health and safety improvements programs e.g. member-focused training, familiarisation events, compilation of guidance, and the production of digital media.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible and accountable for work-group focused leadership and management of assigned Health and Safety projects and programs
Creating workgroups that operate in a dynamic and collaborative manner
Developing project timelines and progress reports
Directs the development and delivery of technical aspects of the program deliverables
Capable of responding to potential schedule risk/knowledge gaps and costs over-runs
Responsible for overseeing assigned workgroup programs from start up to delivery and archive
Accountable for delivery of all assigned workgroup programs in time, on budget, and in compliance with all applicable industry regulations
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
Knowledge
Recognised qualification in Health and Safety discipline, minimum NEBOSH certificate
Prior expertise in delivering Health and Safety work programs.
Skills
Proven experience in delivering to defined schedules and budgets.
Prior experience in leading and managing diverse teams.
Working knowledge of the industry’s regulatory framework and Process Safety Management
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to multitask and work accurately and effectively under pressure.
Ability to think strategically and demonstrate initiative and creativity.
Prior experience in public speaking, including the delivery of impactful presentations.
Team player with a positive attitude and flexible approach
Excellent attention to detail with solid proofing skills
Attributes
Ideally completed mandatory offshore safety training MIST, BOSIET and offshore medical
Experience in working in the offshore environment.
Worked within a coaching and or safety leadership function.
Must have energy and passion for safety.
The role will require you to gather, assimilate and analyse information and views from stakeholders and specialists, with a view to formulating well evidenced recommendations.
Can clearly describe complex issues and ability to communicate effectively and persuasively (both orally and in writing) at all levels within stakeholder organisations and external bodies for Step Change in Safety related issues.
Ability to work with and manage diverse teams of individuals whose experience and view of the industry may be very different from each other.
Ability to work as part of a team but also independently and proactively.
We would also expect that you have proven experience in managing relationships, influencing, and collaborating with peers and stakeholders, to deliver mutual success.
