About us:
HMSHost is an global restaurateur and major world player in the food and hospitality industry. We operate in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East and have more than 50 years' experience in bringing vibrant local brands into airports, railway stations, shopping malls and motorways, as well as creating and operating our own innovative, custom-designed restaurants. In the UK you will find us across six UK airports, including Heathrow Airport and Stansted Airport, Eurotunnel Terminal, King’s Cross and Euston stations, as well as across some McArthur Glen shopping outlets. This new role is to join the HR Team of our central Support Team, who is responsible for our operations across the UK and France.
The role:
We are looking for a vibrant and passionate HR Advisor to join us on a Maternity Cover basis. This role will be based at Stansted Airport with occasional travel to our support office based in London and opportunity to work a day from home each week!
Reporting directly to our HR Manager, you will be given fantastic support & training to ensure you are set up for success in your new role.
What is expected to me?
You will be a huge support to the management teams within our Stansted Airport operations as well as supporting the HR function. The role of a HR Advisor is varied and we are looking for someone who has experience in all areas of HR, including employee relations, learning & development, performance management and employment law.
What will the role involve?
Supporting with employee relations, including investigations, grievances and disciplinaries on site
Coach, mentor and upskills our management teams
Supporting employees through their HMSHost journey
Advising our teams based on current legislation
Ensuring management receive up-to-date advice based on current best practice
What skills do I need to be successful in this role?
CIPD qualification Level 3/5 (essential)
Previous experience in employee relations (essential)
Organised
Personable
Have a keen interest to develop within HR
This role would suit someone at the start of their HR career with 1-2 years experience; someone who is confident in upskilling and training management teams; familiar with working closely with managers and can advise based on current legislation and is looking to further their experience within an international company. The role is extremely fast paced and therefore would suit someone organised and passionate about employment relations.
