Job Description:
Seeking a highly skilled Contracts Director to join their dynamic team. As a Contracts Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans, specifications, and schedules.
Negotiate and finalize contracts, including terms and conditions, with clients and subcontractors.
Oversee the procurement of materials and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project requirements.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Conduct regular site visits to inspect workmanship, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, motivating them to achieve project objectives and deliver exceptional results.
Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring open communication and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and present project reports, updates, and financial forecasts to senior management.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Contracts Director or similar role within the construction industry, preferably in bespoke joinery and fit-outs.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project management principles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) are desirable.
Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK, as required.
