In the role of a support worker in children's homes , you will work directly with young individuals in a residential setting. Strong communication skills, creativity in building trust, and a firm understanding of professional boundaries are also crucial.
We are seeking individuals who can commit to providing consistent support, maintain availability as needed, and take the time to understand each child or young person's unique circumstances. Successful candidates will possess traits such as calmness under pressure, confidence in decision-making, empathy towards trauma-informed care, non-judgemental attitudes, resilience in stressful situations, and keen observational skills.
Ideal candidates will also have the necessary skills and training, including a valid DBS check, registration with the relevant regulatory body, and preferably PMVA training or a willingness to undergo such training.
