Inside Sales Account Manager - Maternity Cover

This is the ideal opportunity for an experienced Sales Administrator to gain experience in Inside Sales. This role is for a fixed term period only (maternity cover). It is a full-time position, however, flexible working is a possibility.
Ideally, you are goal-oriented with knowledge of customer service and sales best practices, exceptional organizational skills and draw energy from being part of a team as well as working independently.
Promotes and sells consumables and instruments via phone, email and social selling platforms to customers and prospects that will be determined by management. Utilizes a combination of selling techniques and tools to achieve goals. Is organized, a self-starter, comfortable using telephone selling skills to build customer rapport and develop consultative sales relationships. Maintains administrative duties, and documents all activities in the CRM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet or exceed established targets
Maintain a comprehensive record of sales actions within CRM system
Create quotations and pricing agreements, following pricing guidelines
Participate in required and recommended training sessions to obtain and maintain product knowledge
Communicate with customers by phone, virtually or by email to answer queries
Work cross-functionally to ensure full customer service
Support
Follow up with in-house support on all customer inquiries regarding complaints and application questions
Ensure timely and effective resolution to all queries
General
Utilize all aspects of the CRM software system
Responsible for attaining and maintaining technical knowledge to support customers
Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Degree in Life Sciences or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience
Work Experience
Proven work experience as a Sales Administrator or Sales Support Agent
Sales experience in related industry preferred
Experience working in a life science lab beneficial
Skills or Knowledge
Computer proficiency required
CRM fluent for daily usage plus feeding and maintenance
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Ability to write business correspondence and reports
Confident, persuasive and winning phone presence
Ability to calculate figures and amounts including discounts, percentages, and volume
Strong organizational sills
Selling skills and techniques (including negotiation)
Ability to work independently, essential

Fluent in business English
A valid driver's license and access to own vehicle required
Up to 10% overnight travel potential

Experience in selling capital equipment
Lab bench experience using pipettes
