The business are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to work within the Finance Department to process transactions for their Group subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will have some purchase ledger and credit control experience, who can communicate well with both colleagues and external customers and suppliers, and who is willing to grow with the company and take on a wide variety of tasks within the role.
This role is a great opportunity to be involved in many different areas of finance and work within a growing business.
Study support will be offered if required.
What you'll do:
Process purchase invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
Raise sales invoices based on valuations or payment certificates.
Liaise with colleagues and clients to ensure billing is completed in a timely manner.
Post daily bank transactions on the system and reconcile to the bank statements.
Raise Inter company sales invoices and work with the Finance Manager to reconcile
Inter company balances.
Generate monthly and weekly payment runs and upload to the bank for approval.
Process and pay monthly employee expenses.
Deal with supplier and client queries and escalate to Finance Manager if required.
Support with the monthly Management Accounts.
Support finance colleagues to complete the year end audit.
What you'll need:
Financial and numerical skills
Experience of working in a busy finance department.
Good communication skills
Knowledge of Sage 200 is desirable, but not essential.
Working towards an accounting qualification is desirable but not essential.
