The Role
As a System Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site support to schools, nurseries, and colleges delivering 1 st and 2nd line support tasks. Responding promptly to helpdesk requests and troubleshooting desktop, AV, server and network issues. The role involves providing technical support and solutions, focusing on improving outcomes through effective IT support and maintenance.
Some of what you will be doing:
Providing on-site support to schools, nurseries, and colleges, delivering 1st and 2nd line support tasks
Responding promptly to helpdesk request both on-site and remotely
Troubleshooting desktops, AV, servers and network issues
Conducting basics hardware and software repairs and deploying necessary updates
Maintaining accurate network documentation and assisting with customer requests
Offering technical guidance and support to school staff
Prioritising workload and meeting customers SLAs
Ideally, your skills and experience will include:
3+ years in Windows Desktop Support and 2+ years in Windows Server
Proficiency in hardware repair and troubleshooting, with experience in supporting AV installations
(Desired) CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent experience
Familiarity with remote access technologies like TeamViewer and Datto EMM
(Desired) Education-specific technologies like MIS Solutions and AV Equipment
Managing mobile devices, Apple IOS, OSX, Google (G-Suite), and Office 365
Valid Drivers Licence
Eligible to pass a DBS Check
