We are looking for a passionate, creative and experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade.
The Counter House is a vibrant neighbourhood eatery in the heart of Ancoats, Manchester. We are open every day for brunch, lunch, and dinner, serving the best in world classics and health-inspired dishes, using only fresh ingredients.
The Counter House features an industrial yet organic atmosphere, with a fully open kitchen and kitchen counter seating, creating an immersive experience for our guests, with the ability to interact with the kitchen team.
Successful applicants must:
A strong, but calm, personality, with confidence and enthusiasm
Work within the team, under the Head Chef, in the day to day running of the business.
Have a keen eye for detail.
Assist in the preparation of food and achieve their requirements with respect to food sales
Adhere to the agreed recipes and portion control standards to maintain consistency in product and avoid wastage.
Have comprehensive culinary knowledge and previous experience of working in a high quality, food-led environment.
Possess comprehensive knowledge and skills in food presentation.
Ensure effective food storage and stock rotation.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness within the food preparation, and back of house, areas to maintain the business level 5 food hygiene rating.
Have a level 2 food hygiene certificate and an up to date allergen online training certificate, or have completed the courses before employment commences.
Ensure that you prevent food contamination by implementing and practising good chemical, food, and personal hygiene habits, including the safe use and storage of chemicals within food preparation areas in line with the C.O.S.H.H. regulations.
