Duties
Day-to-day, you’ll be involved with a wide range of activities which include:
• Write code every day
• Implementing new product features
• Fixing bugs
• Writing automated tests
• Developing and supporting our automated build system
• Working with business analysts or product owners to define new features
• Deploying releases to customer and cloud systems
• Moving older parts of the system to modern technologies
• Giving support to customers
• Writing technical documentation
Essential Skills and experience
• At least 5 years of experience of: Web development on the Microsoft tech stack. (C#, .NET, HTML, CSS).
• SQL database programming. Ideally SQL Server.
• JavaScript programming.
• Using a source control system (we use TFS and git).
• You have good problem-solving skills.
• You have a professional attitude and approach
• Self-disciplined
• Responsible attitude – you take ownership and see things through to completion
• Work well with others in a team.
• You care about the impact of your code over the non-functional requirements.
• You believe that knowledge is the right way to get things done.
Desirable Skills
The following are all relevant, but training will be provided in all these areas if needed:
• AngularJS
• jQuery
• ReactJS
• .NET 5
• Windows Forms programming
• Developing and consuming REST services
• OOP (Object Oriented Programming)
• TDD
