With a strong emphasis on faith and moral purpose, the academy believes in empowering their staff to excel in their chosen fields and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.The Role: As a Facilities Co-Ordinator, you will work closely with the Site and Facilities Manager and the operations team to ensure the smooth running of the academy's facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing general security, maintenance, and safeguarding of the school premises and grounds
Performing general labouring duties such as portering, grounds upkeep, carpentry, plumbing, electrical works, and minor project supervision
Reconfiguring furniture and equipment in classrooms, meeting rooms, and social spaces according to standard layouts or specific requirements
Setting up equipment for internal and external events, training sessions, and meetings
Installing and removing signage across the academy
Distributing parcels, packages, and IT consumables to relevant departments
Assisting with building maintenance and reporting any faults to the Site & Facilities Manager
Undertaking supervisory duties of learners during start and finish times, and during breaks
Supervising the completion of academy PPM's and site compliance checks across the entire site
Assisting colleagues and managing on-site storage, work areas, and waste systems
Providing weekly reports and attending meetings with the Site & Facilities Manager on team progress and status
Requirements:
Ability to work in accordance with good health & safety and manual handling practices
Full UK driving License *
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Attention to detail, highly organised, and efficient approach to tasks
Ability to respond effectively to reactive work requests and work independently
Previous experience in security, estates/facilities, and front-line customer service (advantageous)
A can-do attitude, proactive problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement
Willingness to undertake health and safety training, including manual handling principles and practice
Ability to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the role
Suitable physical fitness level, as the role may involve significant manual handling activities at times
