IT Systems & Compliance Engineer

For nearly two decades, our client has been delivering tailored Unix and Linux solutions for high-performance computing needs across various sectors in the UK & Ireland. They specialize in providing custom hardware, software, and services to address complex HPC, Storage, Cloud, and AI requirements. With their expertise and network of partners, they guide clients from initial planning stages to the implementation of comprehensive solutions, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency throughout the process.
Your Role:
Collaborate closely with our Technical Director to oversee, support, and maintain our corporate infrastructure, including mobile devices, laptops, servers, and cloud services. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with Cyber Essentials and ISO27001 standards through technological and policy controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials + compliance audits
Support ISO27001 audits and other compliance requirements
Maintain and architect corporate infrastructure, including servers, laptops, networks, and cloud services
Develop and implement security measures in line with compliance standards
Provide training and documentation for internal teams and authorized third parties
Collaborate with various departments to ensure maximum uptime and resolve technical issues promptly
Liaise with third-party vendors and suppliers
Requirements:
Experience with Cyber Essentials implementation and ISO27001 compliance management
Hands-on experience managing a full stack IT infrastructure, including mobile devices, laptops, tablets, firewalls, Azure, and remote hosted servers
Familiarity with MDM, ideally Microsoft Intune
Knowledge of ITIL is desirable
Proficiency in Windows desktop/server environments with some Linux experience
Progression:
Our client is a rapidly growing business and support employees, you will be given the opportunity to develop into either a more senior member of the Storage team or should you wish to develop your skills outside of this department and move into other departments providing our customers with excellent service then this will be supported.

Annual Holidays: Annual entitlement will be 25 working days plus bank holidays (1 day earned per year of service up to 30 days)
Cycle to work scheme: The scheme is run via a salary sacrifice meaning employees will not pay tax and National Insurance contributions on the monthly fees – this saves between 26% - 43.25% on a new bike and accessories. This reduced cost is simply deducted out of payslip over 12 months.
Electric Car Scheme: The scheme is run via a salary sacrifice meaning employees will not pay tax and National Insurance contributions on the monthly fees – this saves between 30% - 60% on a new electric car and accessories. This reduced cost is simply deducted out of payslip over 12 months.
Bonus: 5% annual bonus based on personal & company performance
