What you’ll do
Write, execute, and maintain UI tests for Mercury.
Perform manual testing to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and identify potential issues.
Work closely with Developers within an Agile development team to test user stories during the development process, contributing to the overall quality of the software.
Effectively log and assist in prioritising defects using Azure DevOps, ensuring a streamlined and organised approach to issue resolution.
Collaborate with team members to iteratively improve working practices, contribute to regression testing activities for releases, and actively participate in creating an innovative and forward-thinking work culture while adhering to established departmental and company processes.
Who you are
Demonstrate a solid foundation in QA engineering with a proven ability to hit the ground running.
Strong skills in UI testing, including experience with tools and frameworks relevant to UI testing.
Practical experience working with Jira and/or Azure DevOps for managing tasks and projects, along with proficiency in Git source control.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies with hands-on experience working in Agile Development Teams, using frameworks like Kanban or SCRUM.
Demonstrable expertise in the entire testing life cycle, including defining test plans and scripts, executing tests, and effectively managing defects.
Ability to speak up, challenge, and question effectively, fostering a collaborative environment within the team.
Good proficiency in exploratory testing with a 'What if' mindset, enabling proactive identification of potential issues.
Desirable
Be ISTQB certified.
Experience logging and managing defects in tools such as Azure DevOps.
Experience in automation testing of UI using frameworks like Selenium would be desirable but not essential.

At Mercury, we believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration. That’s why we encourage our team members to join us at our Coleshill office 2 days per week. However, we’re all about flexibility, so we support remote work the remaining days if that’s your preference.
