What you’ll do
Write, execute, and maintain a suite of API tests for Mercury integrations using tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, and Swagger, ensuring the robustness and reliability of third-party APIs.
Perform manual API testing to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and identify potential issues.
Work closely with Developers within an Agile development team to test user stories during the development process, contributing to the overall quality of the software.
Effectively log and assist in prioritising defects using Azure DevOps, ensuring a streamlined and organised approach to issue resolution.
Collaborate with team members to iteratively improve working practices, contribute to regression testing activities for releases, and actively participate in creating an innovative and forward-thinking work culture while adhering to established departmental and company processes.
Who you are
Have 2+ years of commercial experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in QA engineering and a proven ability to hit the ground running.
Have a good proficiency in API testing, with a skill set in using Postman, and ideally ReadyAPI and Swagger.
Have experience working with Jira and/or Azure DevOps, along with practical experience working with Git source control.
Have a strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, with experience working in Agile Development Teams using frameworks like Kanban or SCRUM.
Demonstrable expertise in the entire testing life cycle, including defining test plans and scripts, executing tests, and effectively managing defects.
Desirable
Be ISTQB-BCS Tester Foundation Level certified.
Proficiency in programming (C#), scripting and SQL.
Familiarity with MS Dynamics 365, Power Platform, performance/loading testing, and experience in CI/CD environments, as well as environment/build management using Azure DevOps.
Location
At Mercury, we believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration. That’s why we encourage our team members to join us at our Coleshill office 2 days per week. However, we’re all about flexibility, so we support remote work the remaining days if that’s your preference.
