Workday Functional Learning Lead -23 Month FTC

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Workday Functional Lead to join our Workday Team in HR at Bolton for a period of 23 months. HR is based in Bolton and is responsible for Recruitment, Training, HR Administration, MyWorkday (HR IT) and Health and Safety. We are looking for someone with experience and passion to join our growing team.

The successful applicant will join a dynamic team, which designs, configures, trains and deploys to the whole of ALDI GB and IRL on the Workday system. Workday is a HR IT system that houses all of our Employee data and is the home of our Employee Lifecycle, plus Learning and Development for our Colleagues- sitting at the heart of HR processes across the business.

This fast paced and exciting role is responsible for the Learning aspects of the Workday system for the entire ALDI business. You will need excellent stakeholder management to collate, design and configure new functionality in the Workday system to meet business needs, as well as supporting the business in Learning reporting and training. Learning currently owns processes such as Manage Course, Campaign Event, Mass Enrol, Manage Learning Instructor and Waive Learning Assignment as area of responsibility.

You’ll be required to be calm under pressure and use your initiative, so you’ll need excellent communication and organisational skills. Further to this we are looking for someone who has strong attention to detail and a real passion for technology and data.

Successful applicants can be based in either Bolton Regional Office or Atherstone Head Office dependent on current home region.

Your New Role:

Maintaining Learning configuration in Workday

Designing, building, testing, and deploying new Learning configuration

Troubleshooting queries received by the business to provide solutions and identify training areas

Supporting the business with training and training materials that are required for Learning processes

Supporting the business with Learning reporting as a Learning Super User

Mapping, maintaining, and updating the Learning audience and campaigns for current and new Job Profiles

Supporting the National Training team by designing Learning configuration in line with the national strategy

Configuring audiences and campaigns to support the National Training team in deploying compliance and regulatory training to the business

Create and update sales items to support the National Training team in mapping course costs

Liaise with the National Training team to highlight development opportunities to the business utilising Learning configuration

Liaise with the National Training team to map Skills and Competencies to Learning content

Analysing the bi-yearly Workday releases for impacts to Learning configuration and accessing the benefits, changes and user experience of new functionality

Using Workday resources to self-develop knowledge, troubleshoot issues and problem solve requests for change

In addition to the above you will also act as a cover partner for the Talent and Performance Lead, upskilling in all areas of the functionality and supporting them to deliver training content for the business via Workday.

About You:

Workday Functional Lead experience in either Core HCM, Learning or Talent and Performance

Experience with Learning or Talent and Performance processes e.g. previous Management, Training, Recruitment or Assessment experience

Experience of completing at least one Workday release cycle

Workday Knowledge and functional analysis

Demonstrable success communicating, consulting, influencing, and building relationships at all levels

Possessing highly developed analytical skills with the ability to plan, implement, measure, and scale the best balance between candidate, customers, and the process

Able to adapt to change quickly and be flexible with your approach

Strong stakeholder management

Microsoft Excel proficiency

Able to think strategically and is solution focused

Able to work at a fast pace and manage own time effectively

Adaptability to work under pressure and prioritise multiple projects

High levels of personal organisation

Excellent communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Is open and adaptable to change

Previous experience in a fast-paced role

Previous experience working with Workday in any discipline

Previous experience of liaising with business stakeholders

Experience working with a HR system (e.g. recruitment, training, Core HR) in the last three years

Experience of working with Jira

Experience of working with Service Now

Robust understanding of HR business processes

Optimisation of Workday Business Processes

Workday Knowledge and Reporting Knowledge

Learning and Development Knowledge

Performance Management Knowledge

Solution architect for a HRIT system

What You’ll get in Return:

Salary starting £61,065 rising to £88,910

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
