Owing to current changes within this family business we are now ideally looking to recruit a Future Sous Chef in waiting currently perhaps working at a Junior Sous Chef or Senior CDP who knows that with some additional support and mentoring they will be able to flourish into an outstanding future Head Chef receive a salary of c. £30k plus coupled with tronc dividends and many additional company benefits.

The Place:

Our Client is looking for a talented Sous Chef or perhaps an existing Senior CDP looking to get into a high-end quality establishment where "food, Ingredients and cooking is the essence of the job" Working with local seasonal produce and local suppliers to create outstanding dishes, as an established Sous Chef it might be the right opportunity for you to still cook yet join the team in this small yet large operation in the Edinburgh, you will lead with the Head Chef in producing great food and adhering to all company policies at all times.

The Job:

The main responsibilities in this role are to ensure the brigade delivers the very best, both service and product. You will be heavily involved with being on the "stoves" and be someone who is passionate about cooking and working with fresh seasonal produce as well as working with your team on writing and designing new and exciting menus, you will ensure the profitability of all departments. Making sure that you and the brigade comply with all health and safety regulations, is at the heart of the business, it is all about training and developing all junior members of the team, and ensuring that all learning and development plans are completed thus helping to drive standards and retain enthusiastic and quality driven individuals passionate about food.

The Person:

The ideal candidate for this Sous Chef role will be someone who will have experience within a 4 or 5-star hotel or a rosette restaurant. You will have sound kitchen finance awareness, be able to demonstrate a great understanding of food and current trends, work well under pressure, and be proactive. This Sous Chef role is ideally suited to a Chef looking for that new challenge. Your CV will show consistency and longevity in each of the roles you have held, it will also clearly demonstrate a cv that is at ease with premier, casual fine dining trending cuisine to a minimum 2 rosette level.No live-in accommodation is available for this role however our client can for the right appointment help with short-term assistance.
