The Burford Recruitment Company are working on behalf of an industry leader, who are a trusted and highly regarded financial services business. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to be based at their Witney, Oxfordshire office.
As a 3rd Line IT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations. You will be responsible for supporting over 100 employees and providing expert-level support, resolving complex technical issues, and implementing strategic IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support : Provide 3rd line technical support for escalated issues, including server, network, and infrastructure problems.
Problem Resolution : Diagnose and resolve complex IT issues efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Infrastructure Management : Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems.
Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the company's IT systems and data from cyber threats.
System Administration : Perform system administration tasks, including user management, system monitoring, and backup management.
Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
Project Support : Assist in the planning, implementation, and management of IT projects to enhance the company's technology capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in a similar level IT support role
Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and other Microsoft technologies.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyse and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Supporting Microsoft (Office) 365 Including: Email, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint
Good working knowledge of networking: Firewalls, Switches, Patching and Wi-Fi
The position is fully office based, so you will need to live within a commutable distance to Witney, Oxfordshire.
