About The Role
We are looking to hire a Senior Product Development (PD) and Production Manager to join our growing team in Edinburgh. Reporting to the Head of Sourcing and Supply, you will play a key role in the business, effectively managing the PD, sourcing and production team. You will oversee the delivery of high quality products and execute the design vision within the desired timeframes and margin targets.

Please note: this role is full-time, based in Edinburgh. We currently operate a hybrid model of blended home (2 days) and office working (3 days) from our Head office in Edinburgh city centre. Regular travel will also be required to attend trade fairs and meet suppliers.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing our PD and Production team, overseeing all aspects of operations, including raw material sourcing, product development, production and on time deliveries.
Supervising our Product Development, Sourcing and Production process from sketch to delivery across multiple overseas suppliers.
Collaborating closely with our design team to ensure the design vision is well executed, at a high standard and key dates are met.
Regularly liaising with Merchandising, Ecommerce, Wholesale and Marketing teams to update status and meet deadlines.
Contributing and leading on our sourcing and supplier strategy.
Proactively addressing PD and Production issues and supporting the team to resolve them.
Understanding supplier capabilities, material, and production challenges, and supporting in finding solutions.
Overseeing the end-to-end production process, ensuring adherence to critical path, whilst delivering exceptional quality.
Monitoring our department KPI’s against the plan, ensuring we achieve our goals.
Continually sourcing new suppliers for improved innovation, quality, price, and delivery.
Building strong relationships with suppliers globally.
Striving to extend product life, supporting the brand to become market leaders in product longevity.
Staying abreast of emerging technologies and sustainable practices, integrating them into our sourcing and production strategies to drive innovation and social responsibility.
About You:
As a star candidate for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
You have significant experience (10 years+) in a similar role, with experience of managing small teams.
You are experienced in PD and Production, ideally within the luxury leather goods sector.
You are able to adapt well to change, and are experienced working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
You have strong communication skills, be highly motivated, and driven for success.
You are highly organised and able to juggle competing priorities, with fantastic attention to detail.
You have strong negotiation and influencing skills.
