An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Information Security SME to join our team onsite in Aberdeen (hybrid working). As Information Security SME you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise across a diverse range of projects and information security integration and delivery within projects to ensure achievement of planned objectives.
What you’ll do
Act as a SME for the Security function in support of ongoing integration activities
Support the business to delivery secure and reliable IT services
Pro-active delivery of Enterprise based Information and Cyber Security solutions enabling the delivery of secure and reliable IT infrastructures
Working with the Security team and relevant stakeholders to ensure the protection of IT Infrastructure services
Provide SME level security knowledge and design engineering that leads to the creation of high quality, secure by design, project deliveries. Examples of projects:
Secure Internet Access
Privileged Remote Access
VPN consolidation
Information Management (Records Management & Data Governance)
Infrastructure Road Mapping
Security Email Gateway
Identifying security related risk from projects and leading risk assessment processes
Identify divergences from best practice / security policy within projects and lead resolution processes
Liaison and engagement with third-party vendors to assess third-party risk
Producing and completing high-level and low-level solution designs in line with company architecture and strategy standards
Researching and providing solutions to complex application and systems integration issues
Working across vendors, project teams and wider IS teams to define well designed solutions that meet project requirements
Ensure timely and accurate testing prior to deployment
Be innovative, pragmatic and enthusiastic to ensure safe, secure and reliable project delivery
What to bring
Extensive experience working within information and cyber security, ideally within the Oil and Gas sector
Experience in company divestments and integrations would be advantageous
Experienced in supporting successful project deliveries
Technical Experience:
Security Risk Assessment
Network Architecture Principles
Web & email security technologies
Reviewing and assessing security policy configuration within cloud environments (preferably Azure)
Vulnerability Management and Security logging and monitoring tools
Cloud Virtualisation and Containerisation security assessments and review
Edge Security Technology, IAM, PAM
Data Security and governance
Network Monitoring Tools and SIEM Technology
Risk Management Tools
Ability to act proactively, escalating issues as required
Strong documentation and communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge and experience of IT change management processes and principles
Willingness to stay up to date on information technology trends and security standards
ITIL Foundation (or higher)
Qualified in one or more of CISSP, CRISC, CCSP or equivalent experience
