About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead 111SKIN supply chain, warehousing and logistics to help support the company’s growth plans. We are seeking a proactive, passionate and self-motivated individual who is willing to pull up their sleeves and work independently. You will design and implement business operations, establish policies that promote company culture and vision, oversee operations of the company and executives, oversee supply chain and distribution, help us utilize data and analytics in all key decision-making, and thorough cost analysis. You will be comfortable working in a lean and quickly growing environment, with limited existing processes, procedures, or systems for accountability. As Director of Operations, you will build the company operating systems and drive results by unleashing creativity and accountability in a performance-oriented culture among a growing group of diverse and talented individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring demand is met by production.
- Regularly communicating with 3rd-party manufacturers to execute on orders
- Visiting facilities when necessary
- Responsible for efficient and cost effective distribution of products from our global warehouses to customers and consumers, with best in class cost and performance
- Optimizing our company’s logistics to reduce shipping costs (inwards, outwards and intercompany)
- Focus on D2C logistics service development and delivery ensuring standardised and scalable operations with best in class warehousing and delivery service offering and performance
- Managing and developing the relationship between ourselves and our warehouse, distribution and freight partners with a customer focus and can-do attitude
- Managing strict SLA’s, KPI performance and cost controls within each facility, being aware of any “cost creep”, and proactively looking at all options to mitigate
- Continue to develop our global warehouse network, constantly reviewing current warehouses to decide when to upgrade or change provider with responsibility for new contract tenders and implementation of new warehouse locations in line with the company’s strategic goals
- Managing internal warehousing & logistics team objectives, performance and training
- Continuously developing and improve the operations through analysis of KPIs and other performance data
- Be willing and able to execute on all of the above at our current scale, before hiring and managing team members as we expand
We’re looking for:
- Proven experience managing regional and preferably global warehousing & distribution with 3PL service providers including D2C, B2B, global sea-freight and outbound distribution for global CPG/FMCG businesses
- Demonstrated experience delivering service improvements and cost management/cost down initiatives
- Experience of e-commerce D2C service requirements, development and implementation
- Previous experience working preferably with Sage X3
- Detail oriented, able to manage complex issues and develop/implement process improvements
- Ability to extract, manipulate and present data from multiple sources (ERP, Data Warehouse)
