Event Sous Chef

Full time Chef required for events and prep kitchen
45-50 hours per week depending on levels of business.
5 of 7 days, straight shifts, evening shifts and weekend work required dependent on business.
Full and clean driver's license essential.
Must be trustworthy, reliable, organised, punctual and clean.
Ability to work as part of a team and at times unsupervised. As a key holder within the business a high level of trust is essential. Input into new dishes and or menus and being part of the creative process would be welcome and encouraged. We deliver to our city centre restaurants 3 times a week and cater for events whenever called for. We make all of our produce in house and a good level and of knowledge across all elements of cookery is required.
Key duties for prep delivery
Ordering stock
Prepare and cook items to company spec
Chill and prepare for delivery
Cost and prepare delivery invoices
Record temperatures throughout the process
Detail allergens
Load/unload van
Deliver product to kitchens
Events
Organise work schedule
Quantify level of prep required
Order stock
Prepare and cook items to a high standard
Be allergy aware and prepare different dishes where appropriate
Chill and prepare items for delivery
Record process
Load/unload van within time restraints
Organise event space for food service
Liaise with on-site staff for any changes/requirements for event
Deliver and finish dishes in a timely fashion
Clean and leave event space in an acceptable manner
Return all equipment and food to unit
