About the Role:
Use Logistics modelling tools to design warehouse, transportation, network, and supply chain solutions for customer proposals and existing operations
Create 3d views of processes and buildings within SKETCHUP and AUTOCAD
Develop supply chain solutions in response to new business RFQs in line with current operational assumptions, methodologies and desired financial ROIs
Ability to perform engineering analysis, including using quantitative analysis methodologies, to support the business development process
Assist in the development and enhancement of standardized engineering tools and methods.
Provide Engineering support for distribution centre activities, including working directly with the internal and external customer group on inventory controls, facility layout, facility flow, process flow and related data analysis.
Use operational experience, together with IT knowledge and advanced data analysis skills to assist the business in measuring and improving current systems and processes.
Support the development and production of detailed layout and drawing elements to inform process owners of layout and flow, together with rendered outputs for client presentations
Perform special research or technical studies critical to logistic support functions. Utilize computer techniques for analysis, simulation or information systems and documentation.
Requirements
BSc in Industrial/Production/Logistics/Manufacturing Engineering or related field preferred
Strong operational logistics experience required
Must possess excellent communication skills and computer skills including advanced EXCEL
Strong writing skills with experience documenting design methodologies to create logistics solutions and responses to RFPs preferred.
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to pay attention to detail
Ability to develop and deliver presentations to managers and executives.
Aptitude to learn and use Software packages including but not limited to: SketchUp, AutoCad, PowerBI, Qlik.
