LIMS Support Coordinator

As a LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) Support Coordinator for the EMEAA (Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia) region, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for users of various LIMS systems. Working closely with the global support team, you will ensure timely resolution of submitted tickets, maintain system integrity, and contribute to the enhancement of LIMS functionalities. This role requires a blend of IT skills for basic troubleshooting and enthusiast-level programming knowledge to address complex issues efficiently.

Core Responsibilities:

Act as a primary point of contact for LIMS-related technical support queries within the EMEAA region.

Collaborate with the colleagues within the global support team to triage, prioritize, and resolve submitted tickets in a timely manner.

Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to end-users in navigating and utilizing LIMS systems effectively.

Perform basic troubleshooting of LIMS software, hardware, and network connectivity issues.

Conduct system configuration changes and updates as necessary to address user requirements and ensure optimal system performance.

Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and support efficiency.

Participate in the testing and validation of software patches, upgrades, and new LIMS functionalities.

Identify recurring issues and propose long-term solutions or system enhancements to improve overall stability and user experience.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including laboratory personnel and IT teams, to gather

Key Skills:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent by experience.

Proven experience in providing technical support for systems, preferably within a laboratory or scientific environment.

Proficiency in IT troubleshooting techniques for diagnosing software, hardware, and network issues.

Enthusiast-level programming knowledge, with experience in languages such as .NET, Python, VBA, Java, SQL, etc.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team environment.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to occasionally work outside regular business hours to support critical system issues.

Understanding of LIMS functionalities, data management principles, laboratory workflows and Quality management systems (ISO, FDA, ..) is a plus.
