Experience required…

Essential:

Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, geography or equivalent.

Member or working towards chartered membership of a professional institution such as CIWEM, ICE, APM, etc.

experience in UK flood risk legislation and planning standards.

in developing business cases for flood risk management schemes with the aim to secure Flood Defence Grant in Aid (FDFiA) funding.

of hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller TUFLOW) or drainage modelling software (Microdrainage or Causeway Flow) and technically competent in fundamental hydraulic design principles.

or an understanding of project management or principles to achieve project delivery.

working with public sectors such as LLFA’s and/or EA.

of working on planning applications and awareness off LLFA duties.

working in client facing environments and ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.

written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

A full UK driving licence.

Chartered Membership of relevant professional organisation.
