Job Title: Area Director Midlands
Reports to: Operations Director
Based: Home with travel to centres across the Midlands
Salary: £45,000 DOE plus Company Car or Car allowance
Hours: 35 per week full time, fixed term contract for up to 12 months covering maternity leave.
About the role
As an Area Director you are responsible and accountable for the delivery of the annual regional operating plan. Working closely with the Operations Director and alongside the operational departments you will strategically instill the vision, mission, core values and standards of excellence of managers throughout your region.

Qualifications and Experience
Relevant degree or Leadership and Management qualification
At least 5 years in a management role within early years education

Responsibilities
As Area Director you have overall responsibility to ensure that relevant statutory and legal welfare and curriculum requirements are always met throughout the region
You have a duty to ensure that each nursery is managed in line with Busy Bees policies and procedures
Safeguarding children is your priority as Area Director, you have overall responsibility for making sure all children, staff and visitors are safe and protected from harm within your region
Measure and monitor the region’s performance
Lead the region professionally and develop your managers talent whilst identifying weaknesses that threaten the delivery of high performance and positive inspection outcomes
Manage your regional annual operating plan to deliver KPI’s covering childcare, quality, customer satisfaction, marketing and Child to Staff ratio’s
Work with your Operations Director to deliver One Busy Bees brand
Manage the financial performance of your region by thinking commercially and seeking out opportunities to add value to your region and division
Visit every site within your region at least once a month to ensure that you have a in-depth understanding of their quality and performance
