Manufacturing Engineer

At DK Recruitment we are working with our clients who have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer, specialising in Automation, to join their Manufacturing Engineering team, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead in Exeter.
Responsibilities
• Developing automated manufacturing processes
• Providing support for automated processes on site inc. Robot Cells, EDM, CNC, Waterjet and Production gauging
• Providing support for manufacturing to improve existing processes
• Qualifying new products on existing manufacturing equipment, internally and with the customer. Main Responsibilities:
• Create, verify, and release robot programs for automated cells
• Create, verify, and release programs for other, programable manufacturing equipment
• Design and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes
• Develop and implement new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation
• Support justification of capital funding requests
• Reduce costs and improve current manufacturing techniques
• Creating supporting documentation for automated equipment (SOP and EMS)
• Support the identification and implantation of new manufacturing technology
• Responsible for program storage, data back-ups and revision control for manufacturing equipment
• Implement and support EH&S activities Requirements:
Qualifications
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering plus minimum of two years’ experience working with controls/programming robotics
• Or Minimum of a HNC in Mechanical or Electrical engineering plus minimum of five years’ experience programming Robotics and controls systems Manufacturing Engineer Vacancy Notice Confidential
• Experience trouble-shooting mechanical systems (pneumatics, tooling, measurement feedback systems)
• In depth knowledge of automation systems
• Good understanding of tooling and fixture design • Robot programming experience, Yaskawa or Fanuc an advantage
• Proficient in CAD, Siemens NX an advantage
• High level of computer literacy (Word/Excel/Project)
• Good judgment and decision making
• Communication and team working skills Advantageous Experience:
• CMM Programming experience (Renishaw Modus)
• PLC or other logic-based programming experience • Proficient in CNC Milling, CAM an advantage (Heidenhain controls).
Working Monday - Friday 8am-4pm
Salary ranges from £30,000-£40,000 per annum depending on experience.
