Responsibilities:
Ensure all vehicles are serviced and inspected to VOSA standards, keeping safety as a top priority.
Diagnose and rectify any faults that may arise, ensuring prompt resolution.
Identify and order necessary parts when required, maintaining a well-stocked inventory.
Conduct breakdowns as needed, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Maintain accurate documentation within the company's vehicle maintenance system.
Keep the workshop facilities, tools, and equipment clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
Adhere to correct and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
Perform routine servicing and repairs such as brakes, gearbox, and clutch repairs.
Consistently strive to achieve the highest standards of workmanship.
Requirements:
ADR experience and knowledge is essential.
Previous experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics is a must.
Work experience in a busy HGV workshop is highly valued.
Positive representation of our client to customers and suppliers is key.
Compliance with all contractual employment obligations is mandatory.
Adherence to ISO standards is crucial.
Willingness to participate fully in the company's performance management and development programmes.
Familiarity with the organisation's Human Resources policies and procedures.
