I am collaborating exclusively with an innovative and disruptive Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturer based in Coventry, searching for a Functional Safety Engineer

Based in Coventry, the role entails the implementation of ISO26262 (pt.6) and its interpretation within EV platforms to align with ISO26262 guidelines, ensuring safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct periodic reviews, status meetings, and audits to ensure compliance with ISO 26262 functional guidelines
Collaborate closely with Program, Functional Safety, and software teams to refine TSC SW-related functional safety requirements into high-level and low-level designs and tests
Support EV platform-related software testing teams in deriving safety-related test cases and documenting test reports for software validation, integration tests, and unit tests
Analyze functional safety post-software modifications, reported failures, and work with PFSM to suggest safety solutions
Requirements:
Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent demonstrable experience
Minimum 4 years (or demonstrable experience) in software development, including software requirement specification, architecture specification, low-level design specification, and relevant tests
In-depth knowledge of ISO 26262, part 6
Level 2 safety reviewer responsible for monitoring and evaluating software implementation by software teams
Proficiency in programming using (C/C++)
Specific knowledge in software development for ASIL requirements
Experience in software test specifications for PIL/HIL/SIL tests
Experience in AUTOSAR software development for modelling and integration
Strong analytical, strategic, and conceptual competence
Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
Ability to work in a cross-functional team
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in the English language
