We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Head of Drama / Performing Arts Lead who is QTS qualified with extensive teaching experience in high-performing schools and effective management/leadership skills.
Working as the Head of Drama / Performing Arts Lead you will lead the team in the provision of an excellent, engaging and innovative curriculum.
As the Head of Drama / Performing Arts Lead you will not only be passionate about your subject, and have exceptional subject knowledge, but will also have a passion and drive to deliver and engage students in their pursuit of subject knowledge, skills and creative expression.
DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as the Head of Drama / Performing Arts Lead will include:
Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters high expectations and achievement for all students
Collaborate with other Subject Leaders to integrate literacy, numeracy, and ICT across the curriculum
Create and execute an annual subject improvement plan in alignment with the school's goals
Recruit, train, and manage a motivated team of teaching and support staff
Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment while fulfilling wider professional responsibilities
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree qualification in a relevant or related field, alongside QTS certification
Extensive teaching experience in high-performing schools with a track record of achieving high standards
Demonstrates genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning and believes in the unique potential of every student
Self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive individual with a strong sense of personal responsibility and initiative
Possesses effective management skills, fostering stakeholder buy-in and encouraging creativity, alongside a commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
