General Summary
Bonnier Books UK is looking for a hands-on, dynamic finance systems manager to take full ownership and responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and support of the Dynamics365 F&O solution. You will initiate and drive the systems optimisation projects (finance processes/functional changes, reporting, integrations & batch jobs). By working closely with our Finance Team, Data & Technology Team, and support from our managed service provider’s specialists.
The finance systems manager will be a central figure in finance process optimisation projects involving Dynamics365. The individual must be able to understand, prioritise and proactively recommend workable solutions to the challenges faced by the Finance Team in Dynamics365; be aware of the implications of making those changes to the business; anticipate potential issues and identify practical workarounds. Needs experience initiating and coordinating improvement projects, tracking progress, and driving forward progress with a proactive, delivery-focused mindset and can-do approach.
The finance systems manager will be pivotal in reviewing and improving of finance processes underpinned by Dynamics365, defining how data will be stored and modelled and building widescale automation of reporting to support the Finance Team. The individual will be proficient at working with staff at all levels in the Finance Department, understanding their requirements and creating an environment where they are able to work efficiently and effectively.
The individual will be responsible for the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data in Dynamics365. This will entail working cross-functionally with other teams and understanding how their data arrives in the finance system.
A 3rd party support arrangement is in place to cover large technical projects. However, the Finance Systems Lead will be at the cutting edge of this work, often directing what needs to be done, reviewing, challenging, and agreeing functional specs, prioritising, managing delivery and reporting back on progress. The individual will have a thorough understanding of finance, month-end, and supply chain processes and how these relate to the functional design within D365.
This role also encompasses the creation of functional specs/testing of existing and ongoing process/functional improvements, with responsibility for managing through any changes or new releases and the testing of both.
Key responsibilities
5+yrs D365 F&O functional & system experience required (5 years’ experience includes with Dynamics AX)
D365 Specialist with strong understanding of financial accounting principles, month-end processes, and finance processes. Ability to test and adapt D365 processes to better suit Bonnier Book’s requirements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
D365 Specialist with experience working with a finance team closely
Experience as a lead or manager supporting Dynamics365 F&O and being responsible for owning & coordinating all issues to resolution and plans for improvements.
Strong knowledge of automated reporting tools & D365 reporting capabilities.
Able to demonstrate good problem-solving capabilities, anticipate potential problems and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Experience supporting end users and troubleshooting issues with D365.
Experience initiating and coordinating improvement projects with a proactive, delivery-focused mindset and can-do approach.
Experience managing enhancements or upgrades
Experience managing and maintaining integrations into & out of D365 with strong understanding of using and maintaining D365 Data Management Framework.
Experience managing and configuring D365 environments such as TST and managing the deployment of new MS releases.
Experience managing and creating new workflows and batch processes in D365.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadline
Desired Experience
Strong knowledge and expertise in DevOps Solution delivery and strategy.
ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
Microsoft Visual Studio, Lifecycle Services and Azure Cloud environment architecture.
Knowledge of Power BI, Power Apps and Power Shell.
Knowledge of MS SQL.
Working within small to medium size business.
