Job DescriptionROLE CONTEXTReporting into the KBA leadership team and with lead functional responsibility for marketing, this person will build and deliver the marketing programme in support of business growth and long-term success at KBA. They will be responsible for overseeing a junior marketing executive as well. SALARY EXPECTATIONS: Range: £32-£38K ROLE PURPOSETo shape and drive the delivery of overall marketing programme as an individual and in collaboration with the current marketing executiveTo provide day-to-day support, expert guidance and long-term development for the marketing executiveTo deliver marketing programmes that generate new opportunity for KBATo ensure that all marketing and related activities build a consistent and powerful brand for KBA. RESPONSIBILITIESTo develop the marketing plan and manage the delivery of the annual marketing program, including budget planning and control.To lead the marketing team, take accountability for the success of the function, shape long-term goals, and build personal development plans for the team.To manage and support the marketing executive day-to-day with work priorities & guidance, giving hands-on support and collaboration as needed to ensure full integration and timely delivery of all activities.To shape, manage, and report on marketing performance metrics to the leadership team: managing expectations, driving success, and sharing learning and achievement across the team.To lead the marketing relationship with key partners, agencies and other stakeholders (eg The Openwork Partnership) with the goal of maximising value and opportunity and protecting KBA resources (people, time and budget)To communicate marketing activities clearly to the wider KBA team, ensuring that colleagues are aware of mutual expectations in driving the success of marketing programmes in support of KBA's goals.To build and drive the delivery of the activity plan to all marketing actions with a personal focus on delivering new opportunities for KBA in the form of:A target level of new client leads is consistent with target client typologies. and target number of new, relevant partnership opportunities.Greater awareness of the KBA brand among key audiences and better external understanding of KBA’s value propositionTo manage team workload on agreed activities according to planned budget, timing, and quality. To manage the day-to-day external promotion on a range of paid and unpaid media, including social media, targeted PR opportunities, advertising, and external events identified as part of the marketing plan.To actively shape and manage the website as an accurate, effective, and measured part of the new client journey.To work with new partners to manage and communicate the launch of new relationships—internally and externally. KEY METRICS• To have in place a rolling and agreed-upon marketing programme of growth marketing activities• To drive the delivery of agreed marketing programme: on time and on budget.• Overall accountability for achievement of key business generation metrics.• Help build a high-performing marketing team.• Delivery of target new business leads• Delivery of agreed-upon external marketing programme: on time and on budget. Marketing experience and competency:A depth of hands-on experience across the marketing mix, good professional qualifications, and some experience leading a team, building plans and strategies, and delivering on company goals.2. Strategy, planning, and organisational skills:Experience shaping and managing the core elements of marketing strategy and planning across a team and building plans in full alignment with business goals and those of peers.3. Ability to deliver to deadline.Strong ability to plan and manage team delivery to deadline, including liaison with peers and third parties. Has the ability to execute contingency plans at critical moments.4. Communication skills, including written and visual ability.Command of language that can develop a message map, build a tone of voice, and shape influential communications within and on behalf of KBA.5. Preferably, with strong financial services experience, you may well have worked in a large corporation and now want the chance to really make a tangible impact through your own expertise and efforts. You will have some experience of managing a direct report but a lot of experience of teamwork. You enjoy all aspects of campaign delivery (both online and offline) and know what it takes to build virtual teams within a company and with external partners. Good with numbers, focused on success metrics, and with a strong commercial sense, you’ll never be creative with the facts, but you can be creative with the marketing solutions. You pride yourself on quality and excellence in your skills in marketing communications, from high-level planning all the way through to hands-on delivery as needed.
