We are ideally looking for candidates who:
Proven experience as a Head Sommelier within a high quality luxury lifestyle restaurant environment
Possess WSET Diploma or Court of Master sommelier Advance Sommelier Certificate
Are passionate about delivering the highest levels of service to our guests in an engaging and informative way
Extensive knowledge of wines, including regions, varietals, and vintages.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Be able to work effectively as part of the senior leadership team in the restaurant
Desire to continuously learn and improve both knowledge and skills
Communicate clearly, professionally and concisely
Lead, develop and motivate a team of Sommeliers and conduct regular training sessions for the team to enhance their wine knowledge, ensuring they can confidently guide guests through offerings and provide recommendations.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the Head of Wine & Restaurant Director
Oversee the organisation and maintenance of the wine cellar, ensuring proper storage conditions and stock control.
Implement best practices for wine service.
Will interact with guests to understand their preferences, make recommendations, and create memorable dining experiences.
maximise revenue from wine sales by enhancing the guest experience through their preferences.
