Programming online and/or offline from engineering drawings (CADCAM experience would be an advantage but not essential, software is Fusion360)
Set up CNC milling machines equipped with Fanuc controls by loading materials, installing tooling, and inputting program parameters.
Operate CNC machines to perform Milling operations, while ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Monitor machine operations, adjust as necessary, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements and ensure accuracy in part dimensions and tolerances.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and achieve production targets.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in CNC machining or Apprenticeship gained in related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a CNC Milling Machine Operator with proficiency in programming & operating machines equipped with Fanuc-based controls.
CADCAM / Offline programming experience would be an advantage (especially with Fusion360)
Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
Ability to interpret and understand G-code programming and Fanuc control interfaces.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Hours of Work:
39hrs per week
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Friday: 7:30 am to 12:30 pm
£16.00 to £19.00 p/hr (depending on experience)
