Production Fitter

Position Overview:
We are currently recruiting a Production Fitter on behalf of our client in the Leeds area. As a Production Fitter you will be responsible for all aspects of gearbox & power transmission overhaul, including but not limited to; stripping, cleaning, inspecting, reporting, assembling, testing and final assembly.
Responsibilities:
All aspects of gearbox & power transmission equipment overhaul.
Workshop tooling and equipment maintenance.
Adhering to health and safety procedures
Operating a overhead crane
Working with high pressure equipment
FLT Counterbalance driving where required
Working with machinery (lathes, milling machines, drills)
Identifying and rectifying programming errors.
Being a first point of call to offer assistance to customers on their jobs where required.
Requirements:
Apprentice trained mechanical engineers – experience working on power transmission products and rotating equipment is essential (gear boxes, pumps and turbines)
Understanding technical drawings
Recognised trade qualification (ONC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering) OR GWO certification for Wind Turbine.
FLT counterbalance licence preferable
Overhead crane licence or experience preferable
Ability to use general workshop measuring equipment
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines.
Benefits:
07:00 – 15:00 Monday to Friday – overtime available
£29,396 - £34,902 depending on experience
26 days annual leave + bank holiday
Company pension matched up to 7%
