Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Technical Shift Supervisor to join our team. The Technical Shift Supervisor will oversee the operational aspects of our production facility during designated shifts, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met. This position requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership abilities, and technical expertise to effectively manage our production processes and teams.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel during designated shifts.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and deadlines, maintaining optimal workflow and efficiency.
Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot technical issues to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Train and mentor production staff on proper operating procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and production lines to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly.
Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to optimise production processes and resolve operational challenges.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production outputs, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of production operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or related industry.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and troubleshoot complex machinery and production processes.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing operations.
Proven ability to prioritise tasks, make sound decisions, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
