Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to provide temporary cover for the finance department, with the year-end approaching on July 31st. The role involves overseeing monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and financial statements. Key Responsibilities:
Manage the finance department effectively during the absence of the Head of Finance.
Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, including commentary.
Lead the forecasting and budgeting processes.
Ensure accurate and timely production of financial statements.
Collaborate with budget holders and internal stakeholders to support financial decision-making.
Provide leadership, motivation, and development opportunities for the finance team.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Exploit the benefits of our new finance software to streamline operations and improve reporting.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and technical expertise in financial management.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a managerial finance role.
Strong technical skills in financial reporting and analysis.
Ability to manage, motivate, and develop a finance team.
Experience with process improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with implementing and optimising finance systems.

Other Details:
This is a temporary position to cover sick leave.

This role is based on site 5 days per week
Based in Oxford City Centre there is no parking so the successful candidate will need to either commute using public transport or the park and ride scheme
