JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking to appoint an Executive Director of Operations to join the Executive Leadership Team at our organisation to support the successful and efficient day to day operation of our retirement communities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Executive Director of Operations to join a well-regarded charity and to help deliver the charity’s vision of ‘better lives for older people’.

Salary c£136k per annum
PRP (up to 12.5% of salary)

Job Overview (full job description available) :
The Executive Director of Operations is responsible for all services and staff (care, housing, wellbeing, enriched opportunities, fitness, activities and events, maintenance, catering, housekeeping, safety, facilities management, property compliance and research & innovation) associated with operating locations (villages and schemes).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To foster a customer service led approach which engenders partnership working across teams and with external partners and encourages everyone to see things from the perspective of the resident or customer.
To ensure our villages and schemes are performing to our standards and expectations in terms of customer experience, compliance, and financial performance, in line with the Corporate Plan and associated annual Business Plans and financial budgets.
To ensure that our culture and values are ‘lived’ throughout the Operations Directorate.
To drive building and service innovation and to strive for continuous improvement in our service offering.
To lead our interface with ARCO and to ensure that our organisation complies with ARCO’s code of governance.
To ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are observed, specifically those of the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH), the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Charity Commission.
Person specification:
· Educated to Degree Level or equivalent.
· Relevant senior management experience in an operational role within a large complex service organisation.
· Strong commercial and financial skills.
· Experience of delivering exceptional results through the leadership of teams across a multi-functional and multi-location business.
· Experience of delivering service innovation and continuous improvement.
· Experience of reporting to a Board.
