Role & Responsibilities To ensure all HGV repairs and maintenance is completed as per company / manufactures requirements and standards
Correct fault diagnosis to ensure replacement parts are fitted correctly and warranty claims are in line with warranty terms.
Ensure full and complete end of shift handover including vehicle on or off-road status.
To complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets and any other relevant paperwork in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
To build rapport, develop trust and respect from both internal and external customers.
To contribute to the development and delivery of an effective and proactive cultural environment.
To contribute towards the continuous improvement of processes/methods and operating practices within the VMU.
Undertakes necessary training to become multi skilled.
Provide on the job training and support for other Technicians as and when required.
To undertake diagnostic analysis where appropriate.
Requirements, Skills & Experience Must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance Repair, or considered qualified by experience
Proven experience working as an effective Vehicle Technician
Excellent customer service skills
Great communication skills
Though not essential, any additional qualifications and / or experience in Diagnostics or Fleet Experience would be highly desirable.
