?? Role: Procurement Manager ?? Salary/Rate: £70 - £ 81 per hr (inside IR35) ?? Location: Hybrid - Reading ?? Contract Duration: 8-months

We are currently looking for a Procurement Manager for our government client. This Procurement Manager role is hybrid, based between working on site in Aldermaston, near Reading, 2 days per week, and the remainder of the week working remotely.

The contract for the Procurement Manager position is initially for 8 months with potential to extend, offering an hourly rate within the range of £ 75 to £ 81, operating inside IR35.

Security Clearance: Security Check ("SC Clearance")

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile/Responsibilities:

Demonstrable experience of public sector procurement regulations and of applying these to contracts & procurements

Experience of NEC Contracts

Good knowledge of Public Procurement & tendering

Ability to show experience of running work in public space

Needs a 'Do-er' not oversight

Delivery focussed

Excellent Stakeholder management skills

Knowledge of Public sector procurement regulations and experience of applying these to contracts and procurements

Understanding/experience procuring across various categories and managing contracts

Knowledge/experience using Crown Commercial Service procurement frameworks

Experience delivering high value procurements

Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, bring together people/views to inform decision making

Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people

Has undertaken competitive tendering in public/private sectors

Experience justifying exceptions

Understanding of regulations

Computer literate - eSourcing platforms

Inception to award or full life cycle experience

This role is to provide Procurement support developing the LT Liabilities Strategy including Decommissioning services

The role will include Make v Buy, Market Development, Market Engagement, Strategic Business Case, Demand Plan/Programme Assessment, Supply Chain Delivery Model, Cost Model Thinking, Developing Optimal Delivery Approach, Scenario and Risk Planning including leveraging BAU to LT Delivery Model factors detailing people, process, and system integration considerations

Working in conjunction with the Commercial and Delivery Leads - optimise the strategy and support detailed business case development to include Contract Model, Procurement Plan, Performance Plan, and all activity required to enable Governance Approval
