With reference to the UK Head of Development, you will be trained on the company’s operating procedures and in use of relevant software and assessing and reporting methods. It will be an advantage to have experience as a land rights negotiator for Wind and Solar Projects, but candidates with experience securing land rights for other large-scale infrastructure projects will also be considered for the position.

option to lease agreements, servitude agreements, wayleave agreements, and any other property related agreements

out record of condition surveys

financial and contractual input to Financial Investment Decisions and other commercial decisions, ensuring best value is achieved

with external stakeholders (e.g. planning authorities, statutory consultees, landowners, solicitors, land agents, grid network operators) where required

and managing several projects at one time, in the development phase as well as under construction (for clarification and the resolution of misunderstandings, disputes etc.)

Skills and Experience:

are well-versed in reading and understanding legal documents and can demonstrate min. a couple of years’ experience in contract negotiation, preferably from negotiating land rights for renewable energy projects or infrastructure projects

have an analytical and structured approach to the tasks and excel in problem-solving under pressure

are good at putting yourself in the place of others, are solution-oriented and understand the dynamics happening between different parties and interests

are good in IT with experience in Microsoft office

take pride in your work, are highly motivated and able to work independently and within a team.

We offer:

An exciting position in a small, agile team in Edinburgh with the opportunity to really make your mark in the transition towards renewable energy. You will be part of an organization with an entrepreneurial mindset and a can-do attitude. We are curious and progress are at the forefront. We dare to think big and new, and the willingness to “dare to fail” is a natural part of the process. You will be empowered to fulfil your tasks with no micro-management and your personal and professional development is important to us.
