We have an exciting opportunity for a Cocktail Bar Manager to join our group of hotels, namely the Manor Hotel and Windmill Village Hotel, working over both sites. As our Cocktail Bar Manager, you will need to be able to deliver amazing hospitality and thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guests expectations. You will be expected to achieve a level of service through the constant monitoring of brand standards, be highly attentive to detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards. You should have a warm, personable nature and a can do attitude. In this type of industry teamwork is key; you should be a strong team player willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below, combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service through your team.
Key responsibilities for the Cocktail Bar Manager are;
Supply and ensure the highest possible level of guest care and service to the guests; internal and external.
Have a full knowledge and promote the hotel's facilities, services and company products.
Assist in the management of the cellar, stock control and ordering.
Promote the menu and 'special offers' ensuring maximum possible revenue is achieved.
Allocate jobs and 'stations' checking that tasks have been completed before, during and after service periods.
Assist with greeting, seating, serving and order taking. Help guests with menu item selection and wine requirements; always anticipating their needs.
Establish and maintain effective communication with staff (e.g. pre-session team briefings) and senior management/colleagues.
Help with organising and running of special events. (e.g. weddings/ private dinners).
Assist with staff training; departmental inductions, job skills, safety, statutory requirements and development to encourage them to upsell where possible.
Maintain staffing levels within agreed budget targets - controlling wage costs, holiday schedules and work rotas.
Support the implementation of new procedures, practices and standards where applicable.
Undertake Duty Management shifts as required and all associated tasks.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience of working within a hotel, restaurant or bar operation, ideally in a 4 star environment
Be able to deliver excellent customer service at all times and train others to follow a similar example
Be smart and professional in appearance with a "can do" attitude and excellent communication skills
Have a working knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails and their components
The Essential Skills:
Have previous proven experience in a 4 star hotel or a similar high quality environment
Has a passion and commitment to quality and customer service
Well organised and structured in your approach
