Permanent Divisional Manager/ Head of Perms

smartpro is relaunching its permanent recruitment division in Wales and is seeking an ambitious Divisional Manager to spearhead this initiative.
The Divisional Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the smartpro permanent recruitment division in Wales, including team management, divisional growth, continuous improvement, and driving best practices.
This role involves both managerial responsibilities and active participation in client management and maintaining your own client base to maximising profitability
Duties of Permanent Divisional Manager
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of permanent recruiters focused on vertical sectors in Wales.
Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and expand the client base.
Ensure operational excellence within the division, including efficient resource allocation, adherence to KPIs, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Support our culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
Take a hands-on approach to client management, including building and maintaining relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering exceptional service.
Driving business development, supporting sales plans, proposals and demonstrations of smartpro model to clients.
Set and monitor performance targets for the team, providing regular feedback and coaching to support their development and success.
Own and achieve personal billing targets while supporting the team in achieving their targets.
Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and stay ahead in the market.
Experience & Skills Required
Proven experience in recruitment, with a strong background in permanent placements and team management.
Demonstrated success in driving business growth and meeting targets in a competitive environment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective plans to achieve divisional objectives.
Results-oriented mindset with a track record of delivering exceptional results.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of the Welsh recruitment market is preferred but not essential.
