Business Analyst

Note: Min 8 years’ experience as a BA and 5+ years of experience in insurance domain.
We require a Business Analyst to capture and document business and IT requirements and detailed processes across the underwriting and pricing elements of the delivery.
This role will need to work with Business, Internal IT teams, Technical Lead and Vendor to lead and own the requirements to support implementation of the new PAS.

Expectations of Business Analyst deliverables include but limited to
• Business requirements document.
• Non-Functional Requirements Document.
• User Story and use case creation with associated success criteria.
• Business Process and Workflow Diagrams.
• Requirements Traceability Matrix.
• Risk and Issue Identification.
• Gap Analysis.
• Data Mapping.
• Review of documentation created by the vendor i.e Training material and specification
documents.
• Test Scenario and Testing Scripts.
• Post Implementation Review.
Skills -
Underwriting requirements and processes. PAS systems implementation experience as an alternative.
Demonstrable hands-on experience of complex systems implementations across multiple functional areas and territories.
Self-starter able to work without day-to-day direction.
Experience of working successfully with multiple vendors and internal delivery teams to achieve on time, on budget and quality delivery.
Strong IT and business stakeholder management skills. Able to work directly with key business resources across underwriting and actuarial.
Document current business processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
Create detailed process maps and diagrams to aid in visualizing and understanding current and future states.
Have a broad understanding of application and environment architecture including dataflow into an Enterprise Datawarehouse and onwards to
further downstream applications.
Clear communication on project recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Facilitate meetings and presentations to share insights and gather feedback.
Previous experience with commercial combined insurance products is beneficial.
Mandatory Skills:
Commercial insurance experience is mandatory.
Have experience in Underwriting PAS, insurance and reinsurance. Have experience of Tools/system like - Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, JIRA, Confluence, DevOps, CRM 360 Dynamics and Salesforce . No experience in Policy Administration Systems like Duck Creek, Guidewire, or Sapiens and Underwriting Software like Xactware, RiskMatch, and UnderwriteMe . Worked on technical project like implementation of a Power BI dashboard.
