Litigation Lawyer

We are currently working in partnership with Local Authority based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Criminal Litigation Lawyer on a locum basis, for 3-months initially with potential extension.
Candidates will be required to handle attended hearings, in Courts across the West Midlands.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and is offering an hourly rate of circa £50 PAYE.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Handling a varied caseload on Criminal Litigation matters on behalf of the Council
Advising in respect of selective and additional licensing schemes and enforcement work
Conducting advocacy as required in relation to cases involving trading standards, environmental health and licensing matters
Experience required:
Handling criminal litigation and government prosecutions
Background within Local Government
Working hours:
37 hours per week
