What you'll bring to us:
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with 10 years in software engineering and solution architecture.
Extensive knowledge of database structure systems, data mining, data analysis, and strong software engineering skills.
Strong understanding of Data Engineering
Proficiency in AWS, data warehousing (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift), big data frameworks (Spark, Kafka), container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), and data integration/ETL tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders..
Strategic thinker with a consultative mindset and experience in stakeholder management.
Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in challenging environments.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant field.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable database and datalake solutions tailored to client requirements.
Evaluate client operations, applications, and programming to identify database structural necessities and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Create robust data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and delivery of data products into production environments.
Adhere to internal and external regulations and governance standards throughout database implementation.
Prepare comprehensive database design and architecture reports for senior management and executive teams.
Oversee the seamless migration of data from legacy systems to new platforms, minimizing disruptions and ensuring data integrity.
Monitor system performance, conduct regular tests, troubleshoot issues, and integrate new features to enhance functionality.
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and improve new and existing database systems.
Provide training and support to staff for effective data management.
The position offers remote flexibility. However, in-office presence may be required for meetings or team-building.
