Your new role
In your new role, you will join the firm's tax team to assist with corporate and / or personal tax matters. The key duties of your new role include:
To liaise with Head of Department / Manager to deliver tax returns
To liaise with clients to obtain information and manage deadlines
To prepare tax returns, computations and schedules
To offer advice to clients and ensure statutory regulations are understood
To attend client meetings where required
To research tax technical issues where required
To manage workflow and ensure jobs are delivered on time and, where appropriate, to meet agreed completion/submission targets
To manage and control WIP on a monthly basis
To prepare fees on a monthly basis
To keep technically up to date with attendance at courses, personal reading and research
To promote tax services and develop business as required
Any other appropriate tasks, as directed
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within a practice accountancy firm and hold a professional qualification such as ATT or CTA. You will possess excellent technical tax knowledge and the ability to oversee and manage a portfolio of clients, being able to deliver quality work in a timely fashion. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and possess a strong competency across all Microsoft platforms including excel.
