Position: Assistant Management Accountant

Department: Finance
Salary : £32k-£35k depending on experience.
Main Purpose of Job:
Reporting directly into the FD, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Finance Department deliver on deadlines and MI - which provides the meaningful commercial insight to drive strategic decisions.
Main Duties/Key Tasks:
Prepare and post accounting journals, with a focus on month-end procedures.
Execute month-end close activities and facilitate P&L preparation.
Conduct variance analysis, providing insightful commentary against budget and prior year performance.
Maintain balance sheet integrity through meticulous reconciliations and analysis.
Oversee payment runs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Submit quarterly VAT returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Contribute to budget preparation, aligning financial goals with organisational objectives.
Administer the fixed asset register, including posting depreciation.
Support year-end audit activities and assist in the preparation of statutory accounts
This role would suit a highly motivated individual with a strong foundation in finance and a passion for driving business success. If you possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset, we invite you to apply for this role. Experience required:
Would suit a part qualified CIMA or ACCA, with a minimum of 18 months experience within industry.
